Christmas Day was a long one! We woke up around 9am and took the boys downstairs to open gifts. Chris and I had decided that we wouldn't put any gifts under the tree prior to Christmas and let Santa take care of everything at midnight. So Owen was quite surprised to walk downstairs on Christmas morning to find a huge stash of presents waiting for him and his brother.I popped a batch of cinnamon rolls into the oven and we got started on stockings and gifts. Logan wanted a bottle which was perfect; we were able to focus on Owen's gifts first. We were happy that he really took his time and didn't just dig in. It's no fun when everything is over in five minutes.
Logan finished his bottle and we helped him open his gifts. Owen was just as excited about Logan's gifts as he was about his own. Probably because all of Logan's stuff had lights and buttons. It took us almost two hours to get through everything.

Later that afternoon, we headed to my mom's house. We had an early dinner and then started on stockings and gifts. Aunt Laura totally spoiled my kids like she always does, and Chris and I scored some great things (including Southwest gifts cards!).

Chris headed to work and an hour later, mom and I loaded the boys into the car and headed to the precinct with homemade chili. We spent a couple hours visiting with everyone and Owen got to sit in Chris' car and play with the lights. Not really a typical Christmas activity :) But fun nonetheless. Another great Christmas!
