Mud Mountain Dam

We didn't have anything going on yesterday so we headed to Mud Mountain Dam for a few hours. We hadn't been there since last year and figured that it would be a great day to go (hot weather coupled with school being back in session).

We arrived to find just a handful of other families there, which is always nice! The boys made a beeline for the pool and quickly discovered that the water was cold. It's always hit or miss there with the water temperature.

Logan sat on the side for a long time and just kicked his feet, which he found to be very entertaining. He popped in the water a few times but really liked just kicking his feet and making splashes. Owen braved the cold water and ran around with a few other kids.

When the boys were finished, we meandered over to the play area. I fixed a picnic lunch while they ran around. We ate, then headed back to the water for a little more splashing. By then it was pretty hot outside so the water didn't seem so cold.
