Las Vegas Trip

We are home from a week in Las Vegas. We weren't even planning a Vegas trip. But after we came from from Puerto Rico, I came across a deal we just couldn't pass up. The longer the stay, the better the deal. However, a week in Vegas is too long for us so we decided to make it our base and do a few day trips. My parents were able to watch the kids so off we went!

We like to stay someplace different each time and chose the Rio for this trip. The room was huge and we loved being away from the Strip.

Other than wandering around the Strip and downtown, there isn't much to say about our time in Vegas. We've been there so many times and while a few new hotels have opened since our last visit, they weren't anything exciting that we had to check out. We did get a chance to spend some time with our friend Mike, which is always fun. He and Chris were friends in high school and then college roommates, and eventually he was the best man in our wedding. We always love seeing him.

We spent time at Red Rock Canyon, Zion National Park, and the Valley of Fire. All were spectacular and I'll write a post for each one. I'm still sorting through about 400 photos. Posts will come soon.
