Gymnastics Update

Thankfully, gymnastics is going better. That's because half of the kids in his class dropped out. They weren't the brightest colors in the crayon box. (Did I just say that?)

Owen is definitely the leader in his class, which makes me happy. He is the only one who follows instruction the first time and patiently waits his turn. His coach seems to spend much of her time corralling the other kids, which isn't really fair to Owen. But I keep reminding myself that they are only 3.

Here is his group at the end of class yesterday, talking about YMCA values.
The values are printed in big letters on the wall and Owen had just finished spelling them for everyone. That's my boy! After they talk about values, they each receive a sticker. Which is everyone's favorite part of course.

We're halfway through this session. We were thinking of putting him back in swim lessons in August, but we might take a break from classes for a month so we don't have to plan camping trips around them.
