Ah yes, we waited two years for this! Joint Base Lewis-McChord held their big air show last weekend. It happens every other year and we were so excited when it was finally time to go!My mom and dad ended up joining us this year. We piled into my car and headed out to the base! Luckily it's not a far drive from our house.

We ran into our friends/neighbors just inside the gate and ended
up sitting together. Their kids are about the same age as ours and they play nice together. Before we knew it, the flying began and for the next several hours we watched the planes! One of my favorite things about this show is that it's great camera practice. As mentioned in my previous post, I haven't been using my camera much and have gotten a little rusty. I took about 300 pictures at the air show and

most of them turned out pretty nice.
It was very warm out, but the boys did great. Owen wasn't crazy about some of the loud planes but he figured out when to plug his ears. He liked the helicopters the best. Logan loved it all... the louder the better! He even crashed for an hour and napped on a blanket on the ground. I have no idea how he slept through the noise.
This year the show included a B-2 stealth bomber. We were all excited to see that one fly over, especially my dad. He spent several months in

California back in the early '90s working on a B-2 project through Boeing. It's such a cool plane.
It was a long day and we were all exhausted when we got home. Once again, JBLM put a fantastic show together and we can't wait to do it again.
