My dad gave Owen a tee for Christmas. We were going to wait until spring to start letting him use it, but we pulled it out today and set it up in the garage. We had no idea if he'd get it or not. Much to our surprise, after a quick lesson Owen stepped up to the tee, took a great swing and connected with the ball. The only issue we're having is that we're still not sure if he's a righty or lefty. He seems comfortable using both hands for both throwing and hitting. Who knows, maybe he'll be a switch.
Chris and I have both played baseball since we were young, so watching Owen hit the ball brought back great memories for both of us. There is a pee-wee league (that phrase makes me giggle every time) that starts up in the spring and Owen should JUST make the age cut-off. I'm sure the games are just pure chaos but it should be fun.

At least you know that they start out with t-ball! Remember when you started? Your dad had taught you how to hit a pitched ball! You made a good conversion to the tee, but it was all new to us :-)
I look forward to watching the boys play ball very soon.
Love, Gramma Nan
