Owen's Gymnastics Party

How fitting that our little gymnastics stud would want to have a gymnastics party for his birthday. Several of his friends showed up and we had a great time.

Since Owen was the Birthday Boy, he got to pick what the group did. His first request: "a ball game." The instructor brought out a giant parachute and several balls, and the kids had a blast. The parents too! Next up was a game of duck-duck-goose. The best part: one of the little girls picked Chris as the goose, and it was so funny to see him hobbling after her (post-knee surgery). We figure she picked him because she knew he would be slow.

After the game, Owen picked the obstacle course. He loves doing those at the Y, but this was was super cool because it included a big bouncy pad to run across (similar to a bounce house but without the walls... and seriously, check out the air that Logan is getting!).

Once they lost interest in the obstacle course, the instructor let them run loose and have free time. I think the kids loved the foam pit the most.

We got everyone settled down and spent the last 30 minutes having cupcakes and opening gifts. The kids were wiped at the end of the night (as were the parents) and the boys slept well that night. We had so much fun, and even though I love hosting parties at the house, I have to say that it was nice leaving the party at the gym and coming home to a clean house.
